“JACKPOT!” won the Best Short Film-Drama award at the 2025 Niagara Canada International Film Festival .

“Jackpot!” has been selected for the Niagara Canada Film Festival taking place on June 6-8.

As of May 11, 2024, “JACKPOT!” has reached a milestone of 500 total views in less than 90 days!

JosephA. Monachino is organizing a bi- annual event, Author’s Day, 10 am to 6 pm for Mississauga Writers Group members to sell their books.  Studio 89, 2520 Eglinton Ave W, Mississauga, will be the venue and it has high pedestrian traffic.  The cost to cover our costs will be $10/each and the venue has room for 7 authors with their books.  The event will be held on June 15^th to coincide with the summer readings – and the second week of December to coincide with Holiday Season reading.  He’d like to announce this at the AGM to see if there are any group members who may want to be part of this event.  Contact Elizabeth at writers.mississaugawritersgroup@gmail.com if you would like to be part of the Author’s Day!

“My Writing Journey: A Chronicle of My Short Stories” is a collection of

some of the short stories I’ve written in the last few years.  The stories are an eclectic mix of genres ranging from Science Fiction to Crime Thrillers.

They are easy to read.

In composing a collection of my works, I can share them in one book with those who find an interest in reading my, what I hope are, riveting, compelling and provocative stories.
