MY BIO
I am 60 years old, married, and a resident of Mississauga (Ontario, Canada). My interest in writing dates back to when I was a child and an avid reader of newspapers, then magazines and books.
“The Transporting Device” is my first book. It has been rewritten as a short film script, called “The Traverse Device”. It has been awarded with 3 awards, namely: Best short script in the Film Nest, Script Symphony, and Delta International Screenplay Contests
I have written a follow-up to this story, “Brigid II: The Transporting Device Is Reinvented”, which is my second book. I have also written the second sequel called, “Brigid II: The Contraband Caper”.
I have written many entries in the Mississauga Writers Group’s “Word Fest” book series.
I am currently seeking to have my latest story, “Water Fate”, produced into a motion picture. It was awarded as quarterfinalist in the Sunvale Screenplay Contest. My script, called “Jackpot!”, has been produced into a 22-minute film. It has won an award for Best Short Film in the Indie Film Festival.
I graduated, with Honours, from the Sales and Marketing Certificate program of Sheridan College. My other hobbies and interests include long distance walking, Classic Rock, playing softball, watching movies, and of course writing.
I have had several Letters to the Editor published in local newspapers over the years. Several years ago, I won a creative writing contest. I was 1 of 15 winners out of many entrants. My career goal is to become an independent author.
I wrote a monthly column for the Peel Weekly News, called: “Focus on Film Forum”, from 2019 to 2022. It focused in on current events, personalities and companies that take place or operate in Mississauga, Peel Region, and the GTA. . In 2020, I was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Mississauga Writers Group. I am the Director of Marketing and Promotions.
